Yancey Albert Hunter, a beloved son, brother, and friend, departed from this world on August 29, 2023, at the age of 41. Yancey's untimely passing has left a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Born on July 17, 1982, in Hendersonville, TN, Yancey grew up surrounded by the beauty of nature in his hometown. He was the son of Marjorie Hiestand and John Hunter, and their unwavering love and support shaped the person he became.
Yancey's life was marked by hard work and dedication, as he pursued his career as a Concrete Finisher in the concrete industry, working at Thompson Concrete. Yancey's thirst for knowledge, determination, and craftsmanship were evident in all aspects of his life. He approached each day with a contagious optimism and a profound appreciation for the beauty found in simplicity. He was that person you could call in the middle of the night to pull you out of a ditch or give you whatever money he could out of his pocket. He had such a great sense of humor and when he laughed it made you feel good. He made friends so easily.
In the face of this tragic loss, Yancey leaves behind a grieving mother, Marjorie Hiestand, a loving father, John Hunter, a beloved daughter, Mackenzie N. Hunter, dear brother, Travis C. Hunter of Denver, CO, a heartbroken sister, Beth Burlingame of Westminster, CO, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family who will forever cherish the memories they shared. The pain of his absence will be felt by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
