Wilma Mae Hellwig
REEDSVILLE--Wilma Mae Hellwig, 81, of Reedsville, Ohio went to be with the Lord on December 17, 2016.
She was born October 11, 1935 in Portland, Ohio the daughter of John and Olive Lawson of Portland, Ohio.
She is survived by her husband, Gordon Hellwig; two daughters, Linda and John Damewood of Reedsville, Ohio and Tammy Fitch and Genise Garcia of Jacksonville, Florida. She is also survived by two step-children, Shelly and Rich Tolliver of Trendway, Ohio and Kheeley and Tim Johnson of Newark, Ohio; five grandchildren, Kevin Damewood, Angela Barker, Matthew Mirgon, Danny Mirgon and JT Mirgon; three step-grandchildren, Crystal Burgess, Anna Hunter and Jamie Chappelear; four great-grandchildren, Hannah Damewood, Miranda Barker, Trey Mirgon and Mason Chappelear; two brothers, Dale and Nancy Lawson and Albert and Sue Lawson; two sisters, Ruby Congo and Phylis Whaley; two sisters-in-law, Lottie Lawson and Elenor Lawson and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Raymond Fitch, Jr. and John Tillis; a daughter, Debra Mirgon; a sister, Daisy; four brothers, Charles Lawson, Delbert Lawson, Glen Lawson and Robert Lawson and one grandson, Patrick Mirgon.
She was an active member of the South Bethel Community Church. She was also a nurse and worked at the Veterans Memorial Hospital and the Pomeroy Health Care Center in Pomeroy, Ohio for many years.
Wilma was devoted to her family whom she shared her love abundantly. Through her loving and generous spirit she enriched the lives of those she touched. She enjoyed going to church and spending time with grandchildren and great-granchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M., Thursday, December 22, 2016 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville with Pastor Gene Godwin officiating. Burial will follow in the Bald Knob Cemetery in Stieversville, Ohio.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
