William Workman STEWART--William Stanford Workman ("Bill"), age 93, of Stewart, OH, born October 28, 1929, in Zanesville, OH, peacefully passed away Friday, one day before his 94th birthday. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. Bill was the son of the late Samuel and Elizabeth Workman (Zanesville, OH), and the husband of Dessie Workman (Stewart, OH). Including his wife, Dessie, Bill is also survived by 3 sons, Brian Workman, Thomas Barnett and Stanley Workman; 2 daughters, Sheila Carmichael and Shantae Workman; 2 stepsons, Larry Butcher and David Butcher; 2 stepdaughters, Brenda Butcher Moorehead and Janet Rigsby and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepson, Robert Butcher, Jr.; five sisters, Maxine, Lula Mae, Viney, Nevelle and Gladys and 2 brothers, Thomas and James. The family would like to thank the staff of O’Bleness Hospital, who cared for Bill in his final hours. A celebration of life service will take place at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home in Athens—Wednesday, November 1, at 12:00pm, with Rev. John Butcher, Dr. Rick Rigsby and Rev. Jimmy Workman officiating. Burial will follow in the Coolville Cemetery, where military graveside services will be conducted by the Albany VFW Post 9893 and the American Legion KT Crossen Post 21.
