William "Bill" Travis

William "Bill" Travis, 79, of Coolville, OH passed away Friday, Jan. 2, 2009 at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg, WV after a brief illness.
He was born March 31, 1929 in Wood County, West Virginia, son of the late Roy D. and Janie Radcliff Travis.
He was employed by Badger Lumber Company as a private estate caretaker for 32 years. He served as a Decatur Township Trustee for 20 years. He was a church trustee and a member of Faith Chapel Church. He was an avid lifelong farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Harold Blazier of Athens, OH, Julia and Johnny Horton of Little Hocking, OH and Kathy and Bill Duty of Little Hocking, OH; three step-sons, Bobby Wilson of Lower Salem, OH, Dwayne Wilson of Coolville, OH and Jason Wilson of Waterford, OH; seven grandchildren; Jeremy Sarah Blazier, Janelle Jeff Golloway, Anita Jon Hall, John Travis Horton, Greg Duty, Joe Duty and Ryan Duty; three great-grandchildren, Kaitlynn, Dakota and Brady; two brothers, Charles Helen Travis and Robert Betty Travis; a sister, Norma John Farnsworth; five step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Jimmy and Margot Justice of Little Hocking, OH.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 53 years, Naomi Bell Travis.
Services will be held 11 A.M., Monday, Jan. 5, 2009 at White-Scwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, OH with Rev. Bill Lowe and Pastor Bill Duty officiating. Burial will be in the Centennial Cemetery, Frost, OH.
Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday, from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M.
