William "Bill" Tolliver
William "Bill" Tolliver, 84, of Jacksonville, OH passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at Hickory Creek Nursing Center, The Plains, OH.
He was born May 14, 1926 in Buchtel, OH son of the late Clarence and Anna Newman Tolliver. He was an Army Veteran of World War II, a life member of the Jacksonville VFW, a member of the color guard, an employee of Nye Chevrolet and he retired from Athens Automotive.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary McClelland Tolliver; a son, Jeff Tolliver; 2 grandsons, Randy Linscott and Ken Linscott; 5 great-grandchildren, Chelcie, Wes, Zachary D., Max and Austin; a sister-in-law, Bonnie Brunton; 4 nieces; 2 nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews.
In additon to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Linscott; a great-grandson, Zachary J.; a sister and brother-in-law, Kathleen and James Kinnear; 2 brothers-in-law, Harold Wilson and Bill Brunton.
Services will be held 11 A.M., Friday, May 28, 2010 at Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville, OH, with John Wright officiating. Burial will be in the Maplewood Cemetery where military graveside services will be conducted by the Combined Color Guard.
Friends may call Thursday, from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at Morrison Funeral Chapel.
