William "Billy" Spurlock
William P. "Billy" Spurlock, 37, of Reedsville, OH, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, Sept. 18, 2009 at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg, WV after a brief battle with cancer.
He was born Oct. 12, 1971 in Parkersburg, WV son of Karen and Clyde Duley and Ronald Spurlock.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Wendy Elkins Spurlock of Reedsville; a daughter, Kaitlyn Spurlock of Belpre; 2 step-children, Joshua Wilfong and Katie Wilfong, both of Reedsville; 2 brothers, Robert Spurlock of Nuevo Laredo, Mexico and Joshua Duley and his fiancee, Michelle George of Belpre; a niece Isabella Spurlock and a nephew, Alex Spurlock both of Mexico; his mother-in-law, Judy Elkins of Tuppers Plains; step-grandmother, Syble Duley of Conroe, TX; several aunts and uncles; and a special friend, Mike Freshhour of Walker, WV.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Voyd and Inez Spurlock; maternal grandparents, Leeman and Hattie Alltop; an uncle, C. L. Spurlock; and his father-in-law, David Elkins.
Services will be held 1 P.M., Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, OH with Tommy Scyoc officiating. Burial will be in the Coolville, Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday, from 5-8 P.M.
