William Robert Gaynor

ALBANY – William Robert Gaynor, 66, of Albany, died Monday morning, December 17, 2018 at O’Bleness Memorial Hospital.

Born September 5, 1952 in Charleston, WV, he was the son of the late Harry and Nan Long Gaynor.

He was a graduate of Daytona Beach Community College and was a former corrections officer for the state of Ohio Southeast Correctional Institution (SCI). He was a member of the Albany masonic Lodge 723 and the Albany VFW Post 9893.

He is survived by two daughters, Christy (Tom) Nuzum, Brandy (Roger) Arix; six grandchildren, Tia, Trey, and Taylor Nuzum, Veronica McGovern, Brayden and Haley Arix; a great grandson, William Dohm; three siblings, Larry and Coy Gaynor, and Tammy Meadows.  

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by five siblings, Sonny, Terry, Danny, Nancy Gaynor, and Janet Tinney.

Friends may call at the Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home Thursday from 5 to 7 PM where Masonic services will be at 5 PM by the Albany Masonic Lodge 723. Friends and family may sign the online guestbook or view a memorial tribute video at our website, www.hughesmoquinfuneralhome.com.
