BELPRE-- William L. Bowman, 51, of Belpre, peacefully departed his earthly struggles and gained his heavenly wings on Monday, August 19th, 2024, surrounded by his family.
Born in Parkersburg, WV. He was the son of Mary A. Bowman and the late John E. Bowman. He was a 1991 graduate of Warren High School. He was proudly a member of the International Association of Heat & Frost Insulators & Allied Workers Local 80.
Bill married the love of his life July 1st, 2000, Melony Allen Bowman. Their marriage and relationship was a story of true enduring love and admired by so many.
He was an outstanding father to his children and "Papa" to his grandchildren. He loved his family endlessly. He was a devoted son and brother. Bill loved the outdoors, especially if he was hunting or riding motorcycles with his boys, which include his boys in his heart, Ethan Lent and Mitchell Eddleblute. He loved spending time and making memories with his entire family. He spent many years at sporting events of his kids and their friends. He made many special relationships with so many young people. Inspiring them to be the best version of themselves. You would often find him cheering on his granddaughter at the soccer or softball fields. He had an unwavering dedication to always be at the game. He loved having a summer bash each year for all his family and friends to gather and enjoy his amazing ability to smoke meats and sing his heart out at karaoke.
Bill always lived life to its fullest, always demonstrating his sense of humor and adventurous spirit. He was an inspirational hero to so many battling cancer, always encouraging them to fight and never lose themselves to the terrible disease. Through his own battle, Bill never lost the spirit of who he was. You rarely seen him without a smile, a joke to tell or he was just cutting up with the kids. He was the life of fun anywhere he was at. May his legacy of true heartfelt love and his desire to always help others live on in the hearts of his family and so many that dearly love him.
In addition to his mother Mary Bowman, Bill is survived by his wife of 24 years, Melony Allen Bowman; 3 sons, Dylan Bowman, Dustin Bowman and Taylor Bowman (Karalee Carney); daughter, Caitlin Bowman; sister, Tammie and Scott Ruble; 2 grandchildren, Addi Stutler and Maverick Bowman.
