Surrounded by his family, Warren G. Connolly, 77, of Reedsville went to be with the Lord on July 5, 2024, as a result of complications of emergency surgery.
The son of the late William and Erma (Sloter) Connolly, Warren was born in Long Bottom, Ohio on March 31, 1947. He graduated from Eastern High School in 1965 and married his high school sweetheart, Connie Dill, on January 20th, 1968.
Warren was an electrician by trade and a member of IBEW Local #972 in Marietta, Ohio for 56 years. He worked inconstruction field before becoming a Certified Electrical Inspector/Supervisor under the Department of Commerce for the State of Ohio, where he worked for 32 years and retired in 2007. Warren had various business adventures in the local communitybut was most proud of his family business he established, Connolly’s Certified Inspections.
A family man, Warren attended the United Methodist Church in Long Bottom for many years. He was a strong, hardworking man that provided very well for his family. He would often lend sound advice and wisdom to his family, especially his grandkids.They will hold this in their hearts forever. Warren loved attending his children and grandchildren’s school and sportsactivities. He was their biggest fan. Warren enjoyed watching NASCAR and traveling. He and his wife went on several exciting vacations and cruises. He will be remembered by all as a nice man with an infectious laugh and positive attitude.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Connie (Dill) Connolly; two daughters, Amy (Kyle) Davis, and Kristina Connolly; four grandchildren, Dylan (Chelsea) Morris, Clay Davis, Taylynn Rockhold (Ryan Roach), Tessa Rockhold (Cole Steele); two great-grandchildren, Coraline and Charlotte Morris; Sisters, Betty Barber of Thornville, Ohio and Carole Barber of Reedsville, Ohio; several nieces, nephews and close friends and his special little dog, Stevie.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Doris (Glen) Deeter; Brothers, Darrell, Kenny (Beverly), Ted (Marjorie) and Dale Connolly.
To honor Warren’s wishes, there will be no funeral or graveside arrangements. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 20th at the Bethel Worship Center located on S.R. 7 in Reedsville, Ohio. The church will open at 10:00 a.m. with services beginning at 11:00 a.m. Food and fellowship will follow. Arrangements have been entrusted with the White Funeral Home in Coolville.
