Virginia Ellen Cowdery Walton

Virginia Ellen Cowdery Walton, 90, of Reedsville, OH went to be with Jesus on His birthday Thursday, December 25, 2008
at her residence.
Born November 28, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Sam and Nancy Smith Wilson. Besides her parents, she was
preceded in death by four sisters and five brothers.
On November 11, 1939 she married Kibble Lawrence Cowdery who preceded her in death in service in World War II in 1945.
On October 4, 1947, she married Carl Wesley Walton who preceded her in death in September of 1970.
She is survived by her son, Jim and his wife, Sandy Cowderey; a daughter, Susie Cowdery of Reedsville, OH; a daughter,
Sandra Kay Walton Landon and her husband, Gary Landon; and a daughter, Patty Ann Cowdery Calaway and her husband, John all of
Marion, OH. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, Carla Cowdery Kempton and her husband, Kurt of Glouster, OH, Jeffery
Cowdery and wife Tammy, Paula Cowdery Creeger and husband Bob Creeger of Reedsville, OH, Jenny Sue Cowdery Nutter of Rutland
and husband, Jim Nutter II of Coolville, OH, Kibb Calaway and his wife, Pat, Bob Calaway, Lori Calaway Chapman and her
husband, Jamie, Wesley Landon and his wife Sheryl, Michael Landon and his wife, Angie all of Marion, OH; and 19 great-
grandchildren, Tara Soulsby and her fiance, Jon of Galion, OH, Amanda Soulsby and fiance, Bryan of Nelsonville, OH and Steven
Soulsby and Lisa of Coolville, OH, Christopher Cowdery and fiance, Kayla, Caitlyn Cowdery, Rylee, Rhandalyn and Rajessah
Creeger all of Reedsville, OH, Jade, Joelan and Jurnee Virginia-Kay Nutter of Rutland, OH, Kristen Calaway, Jay and John
Chapman, Christopher, Andrew, Maddie, Adam and Emily Landon all of Marion, OH; 3 great-greatgrandchildren, Braylen Bohlen
Kysen Campbell of Nelsonville, OH and Kayden Taylor of Pickerington, OH.
Services will be held 2 P.M., Sunday, December 28, 2008 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, OH with Pastor
Steve Reed officiating. Burial will be in the Reedsville Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday, from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M.
