Vickey Powell
Vickey Powell, 64, of Belpre went to her heavenly home on Dec.14th, 2007 surrounded by her family.
Vickey was a homemaker and loved doing things with her family. She was a member of the Open Door Baptist Church in Marietta, where she taught Sunday School before her illness.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Shine and Virginia Simmons; a brother, James Buck Simmons and a sister, Margaret Kapple.
She is survived by her husband, Tom, whom on Dec. 22 would have been married 46 years; a daughter, Tonda and her husband, Roger Thomas of Belpre; a son, Tommy and his wife, Regina of Belpre; grandchildren, Josh and his wife Stephanie Thomas of Huber Heights, Ohio, Shane Thomas of Belpre and Kelley Powell of Belpre; a sister, Carol Beha of Coolville and several nieces and nephews whom she was very close.
At her request, there will be no viewing. A graveside service will be held 11 A.M., Monday, Dec. 17, 2007 at the Coolville Cemetery with her nephew, Pastor Keith Kapple officiating.
Arrangements are by White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, OH.
