Vernon Brooks, 70, of Coolville, Ohio, died Saturday July 30, 2016 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio .
He was born January 7, 1946 in Hollister, Ohio, son of the late Gaylord and Bernadine Stansberry Brooks..
He was an Army veteran and a member of the IBEW Local 245 in Toledo, Ohio.
He is survived by 3 sons and daughters-in-laws; David and Brittany, Donnie and Tracie and Danny and Sandy; one daughter and son-in-law; Debbie and Jim Wilson; 11 grandchildren; 5 brothers; one sister and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Brooks.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 AM Thursday, August 4, 2016 at the White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville with the Rev. Elijah Brooks officiating. Burial will be in the Coolville Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the White-Schwarzel Funeral Home.
