Verna Mae Tinkham

Verna Mae Davis Tinkham, 88 of Millfield, passed away Friday, January 6, 2023 in Jacksonville, Ohio. Born July 21, 1934 in Athens, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Stella Walton Davis.

Verna enjoyed playing cards with her family and sharing the love of birds with her great granddaughter.

Verna is survived by her daughter, Debbie Malone of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Rose Ann (Brian) McDonald of Nelsonville, Keith Malone of Chillicothe, Alvin (Eric) Malone of Jacksonville; great-grandchildren, Steven, Brianna, and Bailey McDonald of Nelsonville; sisters, Carol Pidcock, Ellen Prater and Francis Mason; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Verna is preceded in death by her husband, Norman Tinkham; son-in-law, Alvin Malone; sisters, Bessie, Pauline, Jean, Alice; and brother, Wesley.

A funeral service will be 1PM on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Seiter officiating. Burial will follow in The Plains Cemetery.
