Verda Faye Sayers

THE PLAINS – Verda Faye Sayers, 92, formerly of The Plains, passed away peacefully at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, surrounded by loved ones, on May 14, 2017. Faye was born March 30, 1925 in Millfield, she was the daughter of the late L. A.  & Edith McDaniel Morrison of Jacksonville, Ohio and wife of late, Homer Sayers of Millfield, Ohio. Faye was also proceeded in death by her sister Barbara Ley. Faye is survived by closest friends Tami Ponder & Family, special friend June Heffken, and several nieces & Nephews. Faye lived most of her life as a resident in S.E. Ohio, residing in Jacksonville, Millfield and The Plains. Faye was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Thea Chapter 192 and she cared deeply about children’s health and learning. Private graveside services will be Wednesday, May 17, 2017 in Maplewood Cemetery in Glouster with Rev.  John Wright officiating.
