Timothy Alan Roessler, 68 of The Plains, passed away on Monday, June 17,2024 in Columbus, Ohio. He was born on August 14, 1955, in Bethesda, Maryland to the late Paul Albert and Ann Elizabeth Collier Roessler.
Timothy's life was a remarkable journey filled with passion and dedication. He excelled in various fields throughout his life, showcasing his versatility and drive to learn new skills. From his days of playing baseball in high school to serving the Army from 1975 to 1977 during the Vietnam era with the Airborne forces Unit; 509 Geronimo in Germany and Italy, Timothy always brought his unique flair and commitment to everything he did.
After his military service, Timothy pursued education in Massage Therapy, obtaining certifications from Pima Community College in 1982 and Hocking College in 2014. His career path was diverse, ranging from being a Deep Tissue Specialist at El Paso Wellness Center to working as a Class A semi-truck driver and later transitioning into freelance massage therapy until his retirement in 2020. Additionally, Timothy shared his musical talents as a vocalist in a band called The Gatherers and entertained others as a freelance Karaoke artist.
Timothy had a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life. He enjoyed the color forest green, relished steak and onions, and found solace in the great outdoors through camping and riding his bike – which he cherished more than his car. One of his favorite pastimes was visiting a pond off Union to admire his beloved family of ducks. Music was also a significant part of Timothy's life; he played guitar casually and had aspirations to learn piano.
Timothy leaves behind cherished memories that will be forever treasured by his surviving family members including his children, Jessica and Aaron Hatfield, siblings, Paul, Lee, Elizabeth, Christina, Mary, Barbara, and countless friends who admired him for his kind heart and unwavering spirit.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Nancy and Eric.
Services to celebrate Timothy's life will be held on August 22, 2024, at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home. A visitation will take place from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM followed by a Memorial Service at 12:00 PM where Military Honors will also be conducted by the American Legion KT Crossen Post 21 and Albany VFW Post 9893.
