Thelma Linton
COOLVILLE-- On Feb. 10, 2018 Thelma Marguerite Linton went to be with our Lord and family. She was born June 25, 1922 to Jesse and Elsie Mae (Rardin)Sayre. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt.
A 1940 graduate of PHS, she then married Richard B. Linton. Blessed with 3 children, Anita Russell (Mike), Dick Linton (Aleece) and Jess Linton (Tammie), their life together was only ended with his passing in 1979.
They were blessed with 12 grandchildren, multiple great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Thelma was an avid gardener, crafter, quilter and bird watcher. She will be fondly remembered for her ability to name flowers and birds. She will be lovingly remembered for her hugs and kisses. Thelma was also a member of the Coolville United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Lorraine, Maxine and Betty and her brother Al.
The family would like to thank the nurses, caregivers and staff of the Arbors of Pomeroy for the wonderful care and love they gave to Thelma over the last 2 years.
Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M., Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville with Joe Rader officiating. Burial will follow in the Centennial Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday one hour prior to the service.
