Dr. Steven (Butch) Nestor
COOLVILLE-- Dr. Steven (Butch) Wayne Nestor, 65, of Coolville, OH went home to be with the Lord, Monday, December 18th, 2017.
Steve was born January 3, 1952 in Parkersburg, WV to the late Carl and Eileen Nestor.
He married the love of his life, Bonnie (Davis), who survives him, on December 16, 1995. He is also survived by his brother Carl Nestor of Coolville, OH; sisters, Sharon (David) Phillips of Akron, OH and Carolyn (Herb) Crouch of Fredericksburg, VA; stepson Brian (Angie) Bennett of Hockingport, OH and step daughter Kimberly Wilson of Clemens, NC; 2 grandsons and several nephews and nieces.
Steve was ordained August, 1999 in the Church of the Nazarene and served as a Pastor in Virginia, Ohio and West Virginia for 21 years before retiring in September, 2017. He also received his Doctor of Ministry from Newburgh Theological Seminary in June, 2009.
Steve had a great knowledge of the Bible which showed in his sermons. He was a big Steelers and Yankee fan, a great poet, had a great sense of humor, and was a talented song writer. He loved all sports, traveling, music, and most of all praising God.
At Steve's request, cremation has been performed. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society in his memory.
