Shirley Ann Balser
TUPPERS PLAINS-- Shirley Ann Balser, 80, of Tuppers Plains, OH passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at the Marietta Center in Marietta, OH.
She was born Oct. 8, 1937 in Reedsville, OH, daughter of the late Winford and Mamie (Grimm) Blake. Shirley was a homemaker, a member of the Reedsville Fellowship Church of the Nazarene, where she and her husband Lawrence were among the founders and major helpers of the Golden Harvest Food Pantry. She was also a janitorial aide for a nursing facility in Parkersburg.
She is survived by a son, Roger Balser and Laura Barringer; 5 grandchildren, Jason (Brenda) Miller, Hayden Balser, Bridget (Chris) Pitchford, Kastle Balser and Harlei Balser.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Balser; a daughter, Pamela Miller; 2 sisters, June Matheny and Audrey Clark and 2 brothers, Floyd Blake and Carl Blake.
Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M., Monday, March 19, 2018 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville, OH. Burial will follow in the Heiney Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday from 11 A.M. until time of service.
