Ruth Ann Lance

 REEDSVILLE-- Ruth Ann Lance, 79, of Reedsville, Ohio passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born on June 6, 1945, in Clay County, WV to the late Frank and Ora McKown Lance.

 She raised three boys as a single mother and her family was always important to her. She especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Making memories was at the center of everything she did.

 She was a certified beautician who managed her own business before working the remainder of her career at A Man's Place in Parkersburg, WV from where she retired.

 She is survived by her youngest son, Mark (Tonya) Griffin; a daughter-in-law, Melissa Griffin; six grandchildren, Amanda (Eric) Guess, Lance (Mandi), Derek (Emily), Angel, and Brandon Griffin, and Jourdan (Tyler) Morris. Six great-grandchildren, Matthew, Carter, Dakota, Jane, Eli, and Jaxton; two sisters, Barbara (Tom) Summerfield and Cindy Houghton; a sister-in-law, Bertie Lance and several nieces and nephews.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons: Ernie and Eddie Griffin. Two Sisters, Judy Elkins and Janelle Lance; and four brothers, Joe, Jack, Roger, and Mike Lance, and a special aunt, Rena Nicholas.

 She wished that no funeral service be held and that her remains be placed at Rogers Cemetery in Ivydale, WV with her parents and infant sister.

 Arrangements have been entrusted to White Funeral Home in Coolville, OH.
