Roy M. Minerd, 83, of Athens, OH passed away Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, OH.
He was born May 22, 1928 in Guysville, OH son of the late Todd and Ethel Frye Minerd. Roy made his home at Echoing Meadows where he was a resident since 1981. He attended the Athens Church of Christ on Union Street and was a very special person to his family and friends.
Roy is survived by his brother, Bill; his sisters, Cre, O'Kema and Dorie.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Watson and Bob; and his sisters, Bessie, Margaret, Mae, Roberta and Beverly.
Services will be held at 2 P.M., Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, OH. Burial will be in the Stewart Cemetery, Stewart, OH.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday one hour prior to the service.
