Rose Ann Kittle

Rose Ann Kittle, 75, of Athens, passed away early Thursday morning, October 3, 2024 at Riverside Hospital with family by her side. Born October 20, 1948 in Athens, she was the daughter of the late Dale E. Thompson and Thelma Irene Lowe Barnhart.

A graduate of Athens High School, Rose led a life with many hobbies and interests. She spent some of her career working at the phone company as a switch operator until she chose to leave to care for her family as a homemaker. She loved watching NASCAR and always gave a helping hand to anyone in need. Her family was the most important part of her life. She enjoyed traveling the world with them as she followed her husband to different military bases as he served for our nation.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Fred; son, Frederick (Michele); grandchildren, Leah and Timmy; siblings, Donna, David, Danny; and her fur baby, Penny.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Ruth, Tom, Sandra, Edwin, and Louis; and many nieces and nephews.
