Ronald Lee Miller

Athens - Ronald Lee Miller, 76, of Athens, died Wednesday, October, 2, 2024 at Legacy of Hillsboro.

Born August 6, 1948, in Prosperity, WV, he was the son of the late Robert and Elizabeth Miller. Ron was a 1966 graduate of Rome Canaan High School and a United States Army Veteran serving in Vietnam. He retired from Martin Marietta. Ron enjoyed jogging, playing basketball and cheering on his favorite sports teams the Pittsburg Steelers, Cincinnati Reds and Ohio State Buckeyes. 

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Darlene Miller; two sons, Chris (Erin) Miller and Duane (Debbie) Miller; three grandsons, Nolan, Noah and Nash; two granddaughters, Katie and Payton; one brother, Ricky (Beverly) Miller; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marlene (Gary) Vanderbosch and one nephew, Chad Vanderbosch. 

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Larry and two sisters, Robin and Debbie.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024, at Burson Cemetery in Shade, Ohio where military services will be conducted by the Athens American Legion Post and Albany VFW.
