Coolville – Ronald Dale Doherty, 58, of Arcadia Nursing Home in Coolville passed away on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009 at Camden Clark Hospital after an extended illness. Born in Parkersburg, WV on April 17, 1950, he was the son of the late William and Forrest Smith Doherty. He is survived by six sisters, Alma Dale Myers, Lucille Walker, and Jo Ann Carpenter, all of Belpre, OH; Janet Dick Sams of Mineral Wells, WV; Linda Drain of Lubeck, WV; Evelyn Powell of Terra Alta, WV; one brother, Charles "Larry" Doherty of Parkersburg, WV; devoted brother-in-law Jerry White of Coolville, OH; his surrogate family at Arcadia Nursing Home; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a twin brother, Donald; brothers Glen "Gene" Doherty, William "Junior" Doherty, and Carroll Doherty; and sisters Maxine Ice, Nancy Whipkey, Majorie Sue Musser, and Ethel White. Visitation will be on Sunday, Feb. 8 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville, with services by Rev. George Horner at 3:00 pm. Burial will be at a later time in Rockland Cemetery in Belpre, Ohio.
