Roger A. Brown

Athens - Roger A. Brown, 64, of Athens, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2022, at the Embassy Logan in Logan, Ohio.

Born May 10, 1958, in Athens, Ohio, he was the son of the late Earl H and Donna Jean Sayers Brown. Roger worked for Kerr Distributing in Athens, retired from Ohio University and enjoyed volunteering as a youth baseball and basketball coach while all of his children were growing up. Roger spent many years as a member of the Athens City School District Board of Education and the TriCounty Board of Education.

He is survived by his wife of four years Bonita; three sons, Karl (Jody) Brown, Kyle (Aubrey) Brown and Nick (Erin) Brown; two daughters, Katie (Tyler) Crane and Donna Jean “DJ” (Jeremy) Black; several grandchildren; two sisters, Diana (Ray) Blowers and Carol (Jeff) Koehler; one stepdaughter Lee (Rick) Blackburn and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 16, 2022, at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home in Athens. Burial will follow in the Hilltop Cemetery in Millfield, Ohio.
