Syracuse - Robert L. Cunningham, 80, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at Overbrook Rehabilitation Center in Middleport.
Born January 3, 1942, in New Haven, WV, he was the son of the late Claude and Margie Moore Cunningham. Robert was a US Army Veteran of the 101st Airborne Division, a member of the Mission Church in Syracuse and a devoted family man who loved his family.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Smith Cunningham; two sons, Shawn (Leanne) and Robert (Mary); two grandsons, Kyle and Brayden; two granddaughters Kali and Brooke; two great grandsons, Grayson and Easton; three sisters, Rita, Sue (Bob) Lemley, and Claudia (Charlie) Divers and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Letart Falls Cemetery in Letart where military services will be conducted. Friends are encouraged to sign the online guestbook at ewingfuneralhome.net. Services have been entrusted with the Ewing Schwarzel Funeral Home in Pomeroy.
