Following a brief illness, Peggy Jean Dearth, 57, of New Marshfield died peacefully June 23, 2017 at O’Bleness Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 1, 1959 in Athens, Ohio, she was the daughter of Coe and Donna Beveridge Dearth.She attended Beacon School, ATCO Workshop, and Community Connections. Peggy was cared for in the family home until age 37 by loving parents and family followed by a 20 year residence of Echoing Meadows of Athens. Peggy is survived by her devoted mother Donna; three sisters, Karen (Bill) Morgan, Lesa (Jeffrey) McDaniel, and Patsy (David) Perry all of Athens. Peggy was the aunt to Kari (Chris) Lehman, Lindsay McDaniel, Nicholas McDaniel and Mikala Perry all of Athens; Kelsy (McKenna) Maertens of Beavercreek, Ohio and U.S.A.F Captain Tyler (Heather) McDaniel of Columbia, South Carolina and her special friend, Mary Alice Wood of Athens. She was preceded her in death by her father, Coe Dearth; her maternal grandparents Gladys and Floyd Beveridge and her paternal grandparents Bernice and Forrest Peggy was the family angel. Her special abilities united her family in providing for her care and protection. The family acted as her advocate and her voice. Peggy led others to understand that all people have value and need respect and love. The family would like to thank her many wonderful caregivers, the third floor nurses, aids and medical professionals at O’Bleness Memorial Hospital, and the staff of Ohio Health Hospice of Athens.Calling hours will be Monday June 26th, 2017, 11:00 -1:00pm at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home in Athens.
