CHAUNCEY – Pauley S. Forsyth, 66, of Chauncey, died Sunday afternoon, May 2, 2021 at Fairfield Medical Center after a courageous battle with breast cancer.
Born May 24, 1954 in Athens, she was the daughter of the late Maywood J Smith and the late N. Pauline Warren Smith.
She retired from Athens City School District after 28 years of service where she loved her job, co-workers and all the children. She loved thrift shopping and helping others. She never met a stranger and had the gift of gab. She loved her family and grandchildren more than anything.
She is survived by her loving husband, John Forsyth; a daughter, Amanda Forsyth; two grandchildren, Dakin Chadwell, Devon Altop which were the most cherished loves of her life; a brother, David (Therese) Smith; two sisters, Joyce (Don) Stutler, Lisa (Guard) Dickens; two brothers-in-law, Bill (Penny) Forsyth, Dan (Tracy) Forsyth; a sister-in-law, Linda Forsyth; and many nieces, nephews and special friends
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Francie Forsyth; her father-in-law, Don Forsyth; and a brother-in-law, Terry Forsyth.
Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Phil Foster officiating. Burial will be in Hilltop Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday one hour prior to the service. Family request everyone wearing breast cancer shirts.
