ATHENS—Patricia A. “Patty” Roberts, 81, of Athens, went to be with the Lord on June 30, 2018, at Ohio State University Hospital East. Born in Jacksonville, OH, on August 12, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Cecilia Bycofski Cominsky.
Patricia attended Jacksonville-Trimble High School where, after graduation, she began her first job at McBee’s. It was while employed at McBee’s that she met her beloved husband, and then she later retired from the Kroger Meat Department after 26 years of loyal service. Patricia was a mother, grandmother, and aunt, who showed unconditional love and will be dearly missed by all of her friends and family.
Patricia is survived by her daughter, Theresa A. (Kevin) Cline; grandchildren, Jared (Ashley) Cline, Chloe (Terry Hart) Cline; brother, Andrew (Karla) Cominsky; sister, Cecilia (Bill) Exline; a special niece and her children, Andrea (Tad), Lindsey, and Lisa Gallaugher; and nephews and cousins. She also is survived by her beloved cats, Mittzy and Suzie.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl M. Roberts, who was the love of her life.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, July 6, 2018, at 11AM at St. Paul’s Catholic Church with Fr. Patrick Gaughan officiating. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home Thursday, July 5, 2018, from 4PM to 8PM where a vigil for the deceased will be at 4PM.
