Patricia L. Olbers

Patricia L. Olbers, 88, formerly of Millfield, died early Tuesday morning, October 18, 2022 at The Lindley Inn.

Born July 28, 1934 in Athens County, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Florence Smart Howard.

She graduated from Chauncey Dover High School and received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Ohio University. She taught school in Lancaster, Chauncey and retired from Alexander Local Schools with over 30 years of service.

She is survived by three children, Karin (David) Bright, Don (Sheila) Olbers, Jr., Robert (Zonna) Olbers; five grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Don Olbers, Sr.; two siblings, Ruth Ann Brown; and Louis Howard.

Services will be 1:00 PM Monday, October 24, 2022 at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with Naomi Calkins-Golter officiating. Burial will be in Hilltop Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alexander Futures Foundation or Good Works.
