Patricia Ann Johnson

Patricia Ann Johnson, 85 formerly of Middleport, went to be with the Lord late Monday night, November 28, 2022 at OhioHealth O’Bleness Hospital in Athens. Born June 30, 1937 in Mullens, WV, she was the daughter of the late Arnold T. And Marjorie Chattin Ball. 

Patricia was a lover of life and never missed an opportunity to spend time with a friend. She could hold a conversation with anyone she met and held her entire family close to her heart, including her loving dogs. The Lord always came first in her life. Sunday morning church service always brought her happiness as well as loudly singing the gospel whenever she could. 

She is survived by her three children, Debbie (Chris) Morton, Gene (Carolyn) Johnson, Penny (Glen) Arnold; 11 grandchildren, Keith, Stacy, Jason, Gus, Glen, Patricia, Robert, Jr., Jennifer, Darrel, Kathy, Michelle; 22 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Shirley) Ball; special cousin, Margaret (Jerry) Powell; and a close friend from Hickory Creek Nursing Home, Janet.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Patrick; son, Arnold Johnson; and grandson, Darrel. 

A memorial service will be 4PM on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home with John Butcher officiating. You may call upon the family at the funeral home on Saturday from 2PM to 4PM. In the event of inclement weather on the day of services, they may be postponed to another day and time for the safety of our traveling family and friends.
