COOLVILLE – Pamela Dishong Washburn, 64, of Coolville, passed away April 2, 2025, at her residence from an extended illness.
She was born November 14, 1960, in Sheltering Arms Hospital in Athens, OH, the daughter of the late Harold “Burt” and Mary Frances (Hatfield) Dishong.
She retired from Federal Hocking Local School District, where she was a bus driver. Pam also loved traveling, riding motorcycles with her husband, her time working as a bar manager at various establishments and being around her family and friends. She was a member of the AMVETS Post #76 Auxiliary and AMVETS 76 Riders, by whom she leaves behind many dear friends. She was always a caring and loving person – she volunteered at many functions for various organizations.
She is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Leslie “Les” Washburn, who gave her such compassionate care and support during her illness; a brother, Jerry (Melanie) Dishong; sister-in-law, Cheryl Dishong; 2 brothers-in-law, David and Jim Washburn; a special sister-in-law, Marsha Washburn; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Earl “Bob” Dishong; her twin sister, Tamela Lanning; her in-laws, Anna May and Franklin Washburn; and sister-in-law, Judith Washburn.
Funeral services will be held at 1PM, Saturday, April 5, 2025, at White Funeral Home in Coolville, OH. Interment will follow in the Coolville Cemetery. Friends and family may visit from 11AM on Saturday until the time of the service.
