COOLVILLE—Oscar Causey, 92, of Coolville, OH, passed away Monday, Nov 15, 2021.
He was born June 18, 1929, in Cutshin, KY, son of the late Dewey and Florency Joseph Causey. Oscar was a former coal miner and retired from the City of Athens. He loved farming, Bluegrass music and showing love to his family.
The family wishes to say a special thank you to Sandy and Naomi for helping take care of our parents.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Gracie Lou Horner Causey; 3 sons, Randy and Naomi Causey, Brian and Teresa Causey and Harold and Lisa Causey; 3 daughters, Brenda and David Batten, Sandra and Germann Pertek and Candy and David Spurling; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Barry and 2 brothers, John Causey and Bill Causey.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M., Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021, at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville, OH, with Pastor George Horner officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday, from 9 A.M. until time of service.
