REEDSVILLE - Oaklee Allan Grueser, two of Reedsville, earned his angel wings on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Nationwide Childrens Hospital in Columbus surrounded by his loving family.
Oaklee was born September 13, 2018 in Columbus to parents Suzanne Grueser and Cory Freeman of Dexter.
Oaklee was a firecracker. He smiled and laughed his 32 months here on earth. He and Atticus were best brothers and playmates. They were inseparable and were so imaginative while at play. In other words, you never knew what they were going to get into next. He loved trucks, tractors and getting dirty outside. His favorite thing in the world was to love on his mommy and eat Pap-Pap’s cooking. He was his big brother Charlie’s little pride and he loved being silly with him. Oaklee was so full of energy and happiness that when around him it was contagious. Oaklee and his dad loved wrestling their brothers and he always rode piggy back on Dad. Oaklee was sure to kiss his mama before work no matter how dirty his face was as he loved making sure she felt loved.
Oaklee was willing and excited when his uncle's let him tag along to work on the farm. Oaklee at first was not sure what to think of his little sister Poppy but quickly loved and adored her.
Oaklee was a strong boy. He tried to stand before he could crawl, and no matter the challenge he never gave up. Even as he was leaving this world he was able to offer life saving gifts to others through organ donation.
Oaklee Is survived by his parents; brothers, Charlie and Atticus; sister, Poppy Rain; maternal great-grandmother Jackie Vanover of Chester; maternal great-grandparents Ray (Jackie) Ginther of Portland; maternal grandparents Jon and Angela Grueser of Reedsville; aunts and uncles Stacy (Derek) Michaels of The Plains, Jon J.
