Neoma Beisner
Neoma Maxine Morris Beisner, 91, of 3449 Glazier Inn Road, Guysville, Ohio, died unexpectedly Saturday morning, January 8, 2011 as she was being transported to the hospital.
Born October 22, 1919, in Marion, Indiana, she was the daughter of Edna Neoma Serring and Dwight Fredice Morris. After a brief period with her family in Florida, she was raised by her great aunt, Ada Serring, in Findley, Ohio. She met and married Joseph William Beisner in 1938 and they eventually settled in Greenville, Ohio where their daughter had been born in 1939.
She was a homemaker and later worked for Plessinger's Flower Shop and Farm Corporation. She retired in 1979. She and her husband lived part time in Greenville and part time in Fort Myers, Florida, until his death in 1983 when she joined her daughter and son-in-law in Guysville, Ohio. She is a member of the South Canaan Baptist Church in Guysville and of the Lottridge Senior Citizens.
Surviving are her daughter, Nancy Walker; her step-son, Craig; and a step-granddaughter, Misha; her sisters-in-law, Martha Morris and Doris Beisner; and several loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her aunt; her parents; her husband; her grandson, Steven; her brothers, Mack and John Henry; her sisters, Mrs. Helice Bailey and Mrs. Rose Reinking; her son-in-law, Charles Walker; two nieces and four nephews.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. followed by services at 11:00 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, with Reverend Monte McCune officiating. Burial is planned at a later time at the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Greenville, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the South Canaan Baptist Church.
