Nellie M. Wheaton, 99, of Coolville, OH passed away Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009 at Marietta Nursing & Rehab.
She was born Sept. 4, 1910 in Ravenswood, WV daughter of the late Haven S. and Icefien E. Mundy Bates. She was a homemaker and a cook at several restaurants in Belpre, OH.
She is survived by 2 sons, Dennis Robert and Barb Wheaton and Chester Allen and Dixie Wheaton; three daughters, Virginia May Guess, Julia Ellen and Lyle Riddle and Sylvia Jean and Clyde Randolph; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Paul Bates.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dorse Wheaton in 1992; a daughter, Viola; 5 sons, Arthur, Archie, Otis, Virgil and Richard; a brother, Oscar Bates; and a sister, Pauline Casto.
Services will be held 11 A.M., Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, OH with Rev. George Horner officiating. Burial will be in the Torch Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Friday, from 6-8 P.M.
