Neal Perry

Harold Neal Perry, 66 of Nelsonville, died Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at his home. Born April 6, 1956 in Athens, he was the son of the late Harold and Ruth Knowlton Perry. Neal was an 18-year Army Veteran who served in Desert Storm as well as doing two tours in Korea earning the rank of Sargent E7. After separation from the Army, he attended Hocking College and received an Associate Degree in Natural Resources in 1994. Before retiring, Neal was employed as a park ranger in Montana for several years then returned to Ohio and worked as a manager with several companies, the last being Security Self Storage. He was an avid sports fan and always cheered on the Dolphins and Celtics. Neal is survived by his brother, Dale (Sharon) Perry; sister-in-law, Jeannie Perry; brother-in-law, Jack Conkey; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Marilyn Conkey, George Perry, Bill Perry, Sandra Glover, and two infant siblings. A private memorial service will be held at a later date with burial in New Marshfield Cemetery.
