M.L. "Peggy" Adelsberger

M.L. "Peggy" Adelsberger, 93 of Athens, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at Hickory Creek Nursing Home. Born July 9, 1931 in Marysville, OH, she was the daughter of the late Noel and Bertha Kramer Brown.

Peggy retired from Ohio University after 20 years of loyal service. She loved all animals and the many family, friends, & neighbors she's had over the years. She was very socially active and was a member of the Elks, AmVets, and Christ The King Catholic Church.

She is survived by her sons, George (Carol) Adelsberger, Andrew Adelsberger, Kenneth (Tammy) Adelsberger, all of Athens; six grandchildren, Mark (Anna) Adelsberger, Eric Adelsberger, Andrea (Mark) Shields, James Adelsberger, Taylor (Justin) Welch, Danielle Adelsberger; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many neices and nephews.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert M. Adelsberger, two brothers, and three sisters.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Hughes Funeral Home where Mass of Christian Burial will be 11AM on Friday, April 4, 2025 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1033 W Fifth Street, Marysville, OH 43040. You may call upon the family at the church from 10AM until the start of the service. Inurnment will follow the service at Oakdale Cemetery, Marysville, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Athens County Dog Shelter, 13 W. Washington Street, Athens, OH 45701, are welcomed in Peggy's memory.
