Michael Juedes

Albany — Michael Juedes passed away peacefully at Close to Home V in Albany, Ohio on November 17^th, 2017 from complications due to advanced lung cancer.  

Michael was born in Port Washington, Wisconsin on October 28^th, 1958 to Mona and William Juedes.   He graduated from Cedarburg High School in Cedarburg Wisconsin in 1977, and worked for many years as a commercial driver.   Mike loved spending time with friends and family. Later in life, Mike enjoyed walking and solving circle-the-word puzzles.   He also enjoyed spending time at the Gathering Place in Athens, OH with his many friends.   He regularly attended Christ Lutheran Church in Athens, OH with his brother David, sister-in-law Lucy, and their children.   Although Mike was a gentle, humble person, he was particularly proud of his decade plus of sobriety and would often testify to this.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, William Juedes. Michael is survived by his mother Mona of Grafton, Wisconsin, sisters Kathleen Nault of Elgin, Minnesota, Christine Barnes of Sussex, Wisconsin, Charlene Juedes of Thiensville Wisconsin, a brother David Juedes of Athens, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation hours will be from noon to 1 p.m. on November 25^th, 2017 at Christ Lutheran Church, 69 Mill Street, Athens OH, followed by a service beginning at 1 pm with internment in Clark’s Chapel Cemetery. Following the internment, food will be served in the Fellowship Hall at Christ Lutheran Church.  

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to The Gathering Place, 7 N. Congress St. Athens, OH 45701.
