Michael W. Hamm

Pomeroy - Michael W. Hamm, 71, of Pomeroy, died Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at his residence.
Born September 25, 1945 in. Pomeroy, Ohio, he was the son of the late Walter and Lena Hines Hamm. Michael was a 1964 graduate of Pomeroy High School. Known by many as Hoss, he was a longtime Pomeroy firefighter joining the station on March 12, 1968 and serving for just shy of 50 years.
He is survived by a sister. Betty (Everett Ray) Johnson; two sisters-in--law, Betty Hamm and Nedra Hamm and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Howard, Robert, Charles, Larry and Allen; two sisters, Carole Crujeiras and Nancy Hamm.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM in Beech Grove Cemetery, Pomeroy, Ohio on Saturday, July 15, 2017 Friends are invited to sign the online guestbook at ewingfuneralhome.net. Arrangements are by the Ewing-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Pomeroy.
