ALBANY – Michael B. Jago, 67, of Albany, died Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Born August 10, 1949 in Athens, he was the son of the late Robert Richard Jago and Marjorie Jeannine Simmons Offutt. He was a graduate of Ames Bern High School where he played basketball and was a Trimble School sports supporter where he was a volunteer softball and girls basketball coach. He also was instrumental in building a new softball field for Trimble High School and was an avid player for the Athens mens softball league playing for Barons Men Shop and the Maplewood Inn. He was an avid hunter and retired from Ohio Department of Natural Resources as a Park Ranger for Burr Oak State Park. He had unconditional love for his family and was known to brag about his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of almost 20 years, Susan Anderson Jago; two children, Michael B. Jago, Jr. of Logan, Lindsey (Bruce Fouts) Jago of Glouster; a stepdaughter, Jennifer (Jeff) Angle of Logan; three grandchildren, Seth, Kolby, and William Fouts. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Craig, Bobby, and Shane Jago. Friends may call Thursday, August 3, 2017, from 2 to 5 PM at Christ Community Wesleyan Church. A funeral service will begin at 5:30 PM with Rev. Denver Dodrill officiating.
