Melodie E. Weaver, 58, of Oxford, passed away August 27, 2013.
She was born in Coolville, OH on March 16, 1955 to Blake and Joanna Meade Weaver.
Melodie had been a recipient of the Jennings Scholarship, had taught music and choir in the Talawanda School District and received the Oxford Rotary Club Educator of the Year Award. She also was a member of the Hamilton-Fairfield Symphony Orchestra and the Faith Lutheran Church of Oxford.
She was preceded in death by her father, Blake Weaver.
In addition to her mother, Joanna Weaver, she is survived by her children, Austin Jenny Hughes, Cecilie Kyle McGhehey; 2 grandchildren, Colleen and Flynn; brothers, Llewelyn, Jerry and Dion; and sisters, Rosanna and Marilyn.
Graveside services will be held at Noon on Monday, Sept. 2, 2013 at the Coolville Cemetery with Pastor Logan Dysart of the Faith Lutheran Church officiating.
There will be no visitation.
