Mary Lou Dunfee Hewitt, 59, of Belpre, OH passed away Monday, March 14, 2011 at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.
She was born July 16, 1951 in Marietta, OH to Harold and Betty Brooks Dunfee.
She was employed by the Bureau of Public Debt and GE Plastics. She was a 1969 graduate of Warren High School and attended Mountain State College.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, James E. Hewitt; her mother, Betty Brooks Dunfee; her daughter, Valerie Dunfee of Belpre; her brother, Don Dunfee Diane of Racine; her step-children, Stacy Apple Gary of Clearwater, Jamie Hewitt Konni of Parkersburg and Betsy Northrup Mark of Wilmore, KY; her nephews, Daniel and David Dunfee of Racine; her grandchildren, Ross Mistretta of Clearwater, Blake Mistretta of Charleston, SC, Philadelphia Hewitt of Parkersburg, Sidney and Sam Northrup of Wilmore, KY. Marylou is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Ina Vee Ellison Butch, Nancy Menges Dave and Jenny Lowers Bill; her brothers-in-law, Dick Hewitt Donna and Ron Hewitt Lu; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Dunfee.
Mary Lou was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and aunt and she will be missed very much by the people in her life.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the physicians and nursing staff at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
Services will be held at 11 A.M., Thursday, March 17, 2011 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, OH with Rev. Jim Corbitt officiating. Burial will be in the Centennial Cemetery.
Friends may call the funeral home Wednesday from 4-8 P.M.
