Mary Elizabeth Welch, 79, of Cutler, OH passed away Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009 at Arcadia Nursing Center, Coolville, OH.
She was born Aug. 23, 1929 in New Foundland, Canada, daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Hinks.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Floyd Junior Welch, whom she married Jan. 16, 1950 at Harmon Air Force Base in New Foundland; a daughter, Carolyn and John Alkire; a granddaughter, Shannon and Charles Forrider; 3 great-grandchildren, Jessie, Chase and Landon; a step-great-granddaughter, Shirley and Jason Landes; 2 step-great-great-grandchildren, Dalton and Mikayla; 2 brothers-in-law, Willis Welch and Dwaine Welch; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Carol Lee Welch; 3 brothers; 3 sisters; a brother-in-law, Wendell Welch; and a sister-in-law, Pauline Nice.
Services will be held 2 P.M., Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, OH with Jack Berry officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Liberty Cemetery, Cutler, OH.
Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday, from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M.
