Mary Maxine Antonetz, 65, of Athens, passed away unexpectedly Friday, October 27, 2023, at her home. She was born December 8, 1957, in Newark, Ohio, the daughter of the late William and Nellie (Collins) King. She was one of four children.
Mary loved her children and animals unequivocally. She was a passionate in-home healthcare provider. Mary was previously a licensed real estate agent and served on the Zanesville City Schools school board. Her hobbies included music, dancing, gardening, bowling and debating politics on Facebook until she ended up in “Facebook Jail.”
She is survived by a son, Alexander W. Antonetz of Hilliard, Ohio; and her daughters Anna E. Antonetz of Athens, Ohio; Abigail C. Antonetz of Athens, Ohio; and Andrea K. Antonetz of Denver, Colorado. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, L. Kaye Fell; and three brothers, Thomas Lee King, William R. King, and Richard King.
Per Mary’s wishes, a private celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 4, and cremation has been chosen. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Athens County Humane Society, P.O. Box 765, Athens, Ohio 45701.
