Martha Platt

Martha Ellen (Campbell) Platt, beloved sister and aunt, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2025. Born on November 2, 1933, in Logan, Ohio, Martha lived a life filled with love, faith, and kindness.

 On June 7, 1953, she married Lloyd James Platt, beginning a beautiful journey together. Martha had a passion for sewing, reading, and playing the organ, sharing her gifts with those around her. She was a volunteer with Good Shepherd Hospice, offering comfort and compassion to those in need. She was also a member of the Bell Ringer Chorus at Murphy Methodist Church in Murphy, NC.

 Martha was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and three brothers. She is survived by her loving brother Donald Campbell, sister-in-law Bonnie Campbell, and numerous nieces and nephews who will forever cherish her warmth and kindness.

Arrangements were entrusted to Hughes Funeral Home, Athens, OH where graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 2PM at Alexander Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Four Seasons Hospice in Henderson, NC, in honor of Martha’s compassionate spirit.
