Marjorie “Hope” Drake
Marjorie “Hope” Drake was born to William and Tressa (Coleman) Swain in Long Bottom, Ohio on July 13, 1931, where she lived her whole life.
Hope was preceded in death by her parents; 4 sisters and 3 brothers; her husband, Melvin Drake; 2 daughters: Gloria Decker and Sharon Bott and 3 grandchildren.
She is survived by 8 children: Sheila Curtis, John Adams (Dee), Daniel Drake (Ruby), Harold “Lanny” Adams (Garcia), David Drake (Eileen), Shirley Bucher (Leo), Darrell Drake (Donna), Edward Adams (Tammy); 37 grandchildren; 73 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
Hope was a fun loving devout Christian and a member of the Fellowship Church of the Nazarene In Reedsville, Ohio. She clearly loved her large family. No one loved a family gathering more than her. Her grandbabies were the joy of her life. She loved to sing and laugh and was known as a good cook. Her big heart and easy giggle will always remain in our heart.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018 at the Fellowship Church of the Nazarene in Reedsville, Ohio, with Pastor Robbie Keene officiating. Burial will follow in the Meigs County Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, from 6-8 P.M. at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville Ohio.
