Margaret Washburn
Margaret Idora Caplinger Washburn, 98, of Coolville, OH went to be with her heavenly family, Friday, December 22, 2006 at her residence with her family by her bedside.
She was born December 7, 1908 in New Brighton, Pennsylvania, Beaver County, daughter of the late Frank William and Rachel AlfaRetta Price Caplinger. She was a homemaker, loved by family and many friends, and attended school in Coolville. She attended Fairview Church in Coolville, and in her early years, she was a member of the Porterfield Baptist Church, the Willing Workers Sunday School Class and Lottridge and Coolville Senior Citizens.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Franklin and Anna Mae Bise Washburn of Coolville; five daughters, Eleanor Earl Guess, Betty Art Cole all of Coolville, Julia "Judy" Rockhold of Guysville, Loretta Mae Gilliand of Homer, OH and Margaret Lucille Washburn of Columbus; 22 grandchildren, including Robert Lee Washburn, who was raised in the home; 34 great-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; 25 great-great-grandchildren; and several great-great-great-grandchildren; two special friends, Johnny Gardner of Somerset and Williard Donahey of Homer and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 73 years, Aubra Washburn; a daughter, Evelyn Louise Washburn; a granddaughter-in-law, Diana Stump Washburn; a great-grandson, Robert James Washburn; a great-great-grandson, Donavin McKinsey Gilliand; 6 aunts; and 5 uncles.
Services will be held 1 P.M., Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, OH, with Pastor Mark Eaton officiating. Interment will be in the Coolville Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-8 P.M.
