Marcella Maynard
STOCKPORT—Marcella Maynard, 80, of Stockport, OH, passed away Thursday, Feb. 18, 2021 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville, OH.
She was born Jan. 31, 1941 in Vinton County, OH, daughter of the late Oather Woodrow and Mildred Riddle Demint.
She lived her whole life for this moment, to meet Jesus. She would tell anyone that she met “you want to be right with the Lord.” Grandkids remember many kitchen table conversations that sometimes felt like lectures but she loved her family with every ounce of her being and wanted to make sure that we all meet in Heaven one day. She is rejoicing with her Savior and maybe even telling him how to do things! Marcella was a member of the Crossroads United Baptist Church in Columbus, OH.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, James Maynard; 3 sons, Arthur and Kathy Maynard, Neil and Julie Maynard and Brian Maynard; 3 daughters, Jencie and Paul Knaub, Vicki Osborne and Nancy and Joe Stotts; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she adored; 3 brothers, Danny Demint, Bill and Cheryl Demint and Robert and Sue Demint and a sister, Kathleen Demint.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a beloved son, Benjamin Maynard and 3 brothers, Charles Demint, Paul Demint and Alan Demint.
Graveside services will be held at 1 P.M., Monday, Feb. 22, 2021 at the Mt. Herman Cemetery in Sharpsburg, with Pastor Ed Maynard officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to White-Schwarzel Funeral Home in Coolville, OH.
