Louise M. Hershey
Louise M. Hershey, 94, of Coolville, OH passed away Monday, Oct. 13, 2014 at Dublin Methodist Hospital, Dublin, OH.
She was born Aug. 30, 1920 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin daughter of the late Frederick and Verna Mahnke. She was a member of the Troy Township Senior Citizens and St. Ambrose Catholic Church. She was also a Ombudsman for the State of Ohio Department of Aging . She was the former owner of Rivers Bend Campground and Marina. Louise proudly served as a member of the US Coast Guard Spars during World War II.
She is survived by a daughter, Frances Hershey; two sons, Ronald Hershey and Jon Hershey; 4 grandchildren, Michelle Sposito, Terra Dibowski, Shaina Hershey-Sly and R. J. Hershey; 5 great-grandchildren, Emma Dibowski, Madeline and Annabella Atkinson, Haley and Ryder Hershey-Sly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, O. Francis Hershey; and a daughter, Kathryn Hershey.
Services will be held at 11 A.M., Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014 at White-Schwarzel Funeral Home, Coolville, OH with Father David Huffman officiating. Burial will be in the Stewart Cemetery, Hockingport, OH where military graveside services will be conducted by the Athens VFW, Athens American Legion Post 21 and Albany VFW.
