Lola Stanley

The clouds ushered Lola Stanley to heaven on September 4th, 2023, where she passed away peacefully at the Ohio State University James Hospital at the age of 70 years old. Family who went before Lola were her father, Ed & mother, America Stanley; and sister, Connie Gunderson.

Lola was born on November 16th, 1952, the third oldest of ten children, in Pikeville, KY and formerly a resident of Millfield Ohio. Lola owned and operated businesses throughout her life such as A1 cleaning Service and a real-estate property management company. She attended both Hocking College and Hondros College. Her canine and feline companions were dear to her. Lola loved her cats and her dog Bebee who have all been placed with good homes. Lola was a devout Christian and believed in the Lord almighty.

Family she left behind were her two sons, Kyle Adkins of Jefferson City, Tennessee, and Shawn Adkins (Yvette Castagnetto) of Yonkers New York; sisters, Helen Anderson, Stephanie Stanley, and Lori (Frank) Stevens; brothers, Ronnie, Eddie (Diane), Perry (Joy), Royce, and Willie (Robin); and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside services are provided by Hughes-Moquin Funeral Home, at Athens Memory Gardens, 7360 Cameron Road, Athens OH 45701 at 12pm on Friday, September 8th, 2023. The graveside services will be officiated by Pastor Matt Peachey. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the funeral home to assist with end-of-life expenses.
